How to Clear your Browser Cache

Clearing your cache and cookies can help resolve many issues with both our learning platform and other websites you may be having issues using. This is one of the first things the Online Help Desk might ask you to do, as it is both quick and oftentimes resolves issues without any further intervention or troubleshooting. Choose the browser you use from the list below for more specific instructions. If your browser is not listed, you may want to search the internet for how to clear the cache and cookies of your browser.

 

Firefox

Chrome

Safari

 

 

Firefox:

 

1. In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click Firefox and select Preferences.

 

2. Select the Privacy & Security panel.

 

3. In the Cookies and Site Data section, click Clear Data

4. Remove the check mark in front of Cookies and Site Data.

 

5. With Cached Web Content check marked, click the Clear button.


 

Chrome:

1. On your computer, open Chrome.

 

2. At the top right, click the 3 vertical dots for the options menu.

 

3. Click Clear Browsing Data.

 

 

4. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.

 

 

5. Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.

 

6. Click Clear data.


 

 

Safari:

1. Click on the Safari drop-down menu and select Preferences.

 

 

2. Click the Advanced tab. Select the Show Develop menu in menu bar checkbox and close the Preferences window.

 

3. Select the Develop drop-down menu. Click Empty Cache.

Note: You may want to also clear your browser history.
